What may be of interest is that I understand that Germany is only imposing a 3% Hurdle on the Euro-elections. This might be a lifeline for the FDP and the Pirates.

I suspect the AfD may reach the fünf anyway.

Yeah, the threshold is only 3% this time round. Although I believe that there was talk of this being challenged too. I know Terry the Green candidate from NRW and I'm quite impressed she appears to have been selected ahead of Sven Giegold MEP.

We have a proper national Eurowahl poll now, although the sample size is a bit dodgy at 865
CDU/CSU 42%, SPD 26%, GRÜ 10%, SED 8%, AfD 7%, FDP 3%
Compare this to the same date, same company 2,772 Bundestag poll
CDU/CSU 41%, SPD 26%, GRÜ 9%, SED 9%, FDP 5%, AfD 4%

so fairly steady since the last time, except for a big fall in support for the FDP? In 2009 CDU/CSU 38%, SDP 21%, Grune 12%, LINKE 7.5%, FPD 11%, Others 11% so CDU/CSU, Grune and LINKE all steady. SDP up a third, FPD down two thirds, AfD 6% from nothing.
