Quite a few posters in shop windows for Mr Hussein going towards Redlam. I can see why Mr Murray might be feeling a bit annoyed. It's enough to make a glass eye weep.

I have just read the Adnan Hussein leaflet and, for all his claims to wish to overcome the divisions and segregation in the town, he has not canvassed Shadsworth, Whitebirk, Highercroft, Mill Hill, Guide, et al.

To be fair, looking at one of his posts on tiktok that he posted today, he was in mill hill but i think generally you going to want to shore up the majority of your vote and i would think the asian community would probably be more likely to vote for him regardless of where he canvasses so I don't think that contradicts his wish to overcome division in the town

It is performative. I am in regular contact with Local Conversations (a local group that sources grants), Shads Chefs, foodbanks, etc, and have never come across the guy.

A leafletter for Craig Murray decided it would be appropriate to put dozens of his leaflets in the narthex of one of my Churches, whilst gatecrashing my parish centre to canvass a group of Gujaratis having having a meal. The gentleman who hired the hall was not impressed, nor was I. All leaflets were binned and I contacted Mr Murray's campaign assistant, who, fair play to her, quickly responded with an apology on her and Craig Murray's behalf and sent out a message to not put leaflets in places of worship. I think they have a fair few inexperienced people working for their campaign.

At the polling centre I hosted, over 40% turnout on the day and a lot of postal votes cast. A very high turnout for that ward.

Gosh. The non-Muslim turnout must be very low.

Gosh. The non-Muslim turnout must be very low. Seems that quite a big chunk of it went to Reform UK too. One thing that I can predict fairly confidently is that the new MP will turn out to be a complete waste of space, even if they manage to last the whole term.

On only 27% of the votes cast, and with WPB candidate Craig Murray only 8.1% behind him despite finishing 3rd. This seat's result is an exemplar of why FPTP has to go.

I'm sure plenty of Labour MPs will turn out to be complete wastes of space as well (and not just among the new ones)

I'm sure Hope not Hate will be all over this, right? Right?
Or will they be less interested in those politicians calling for death on British streets, than they are in Reform politicians being occasionally rude?
Presumably the real bigots are those in Blackburn who look at this scene and say outrageous things like "I don't recognise my community any more".

I don't know much about the new MP, but clearly a lot of people are angry because of Palestine. Labour, take note... Free Palestine!

Quite something that the thread for this seat has the most posts/pages of all of those in the north west, yet on election night it will get all of 5 seconds coverage on the ticker as “LAB Hold Blackburn”… (and it’s not Jack Straw any more either) I’m surprised people aren’t talking so much about Alty and Sale W, Bolton West, and of course Fylde Well, looks like I will have to eat my proverbial hat...

Maybe there should be a Forum hat eating meet up?
