It's an organisation for Jews as an ethnicity, as a people. It has very limited religious focus although it does have events for Passover & Channukah. Passover celebrates the survival & flourishing of Jews as a people more than anything else, which is why most secular Jews celebrate it along with those who do observe Judaism. The Channukah event is very popular with secular Jews too, and I always attend, attracted by the chance to meet other Labour Party colleagues, as well as by the latkes & doughnuts. It would be false to describe it as a totally & strictly secular organisation, but it's full of secular Jews such as me and plenty of others who in no way feel repelled by it; it's a group which welcomes Jewish people as people, not as synagogue members. yeah, my ex and her sister used to do Passover every year and they're staunch atheists. Chanukah too. I had joined them for Jewish New Year too
