There are 12 by-elections during March: * 1 on 07 March * 3 on 14 March * 6 on 21 March and * 2 on 28 March
3 are for District Councils, one will have ward elections in May, one had all-out elections in 2018 and one is due to be abolished in 2020 5 are in Unitary Authorities, three having ward elections in May and two had all-out elections in 2017 3 are for London Boroughs that had all-out elections in 2018 and 1 is in Scotland where the last election was in 2017
Conservatives defend 1 seat following the death of the former Councillor Labour defend 6 seats, 3 following a resignation and 3 a death Liberal Democrats defend 2 seats following a resignation Thurrock Independents defend 1 seat following a resignation Independents defend 1 seat following a resignation SNP defend 1 seat following a resignation.
Labour is contesting all 12 seats, Conservative 11, Liberal Democrats 10, Green 6, UKIP 5, Independents have 6 candidates contesting 5 seats, SNP 1 along with 2 For Britain and 1 each Christian People, Integrity Southampton, North East, SDP, Socialist Alternative and Thurrock Independent - a total of 59 candidates for the 12 seats.
Predictions on this thread by 9.00 am on day of by-election.

No, because I've already been waiting for five days, and because he doesn't have a monopoly on having permission to start threads. The two threads can be merged if the admin thinks it might help.
