middleenglander - not a big issue, but I did add up to 100 in Carlisle. Originally I did add up to 101 but that was corrected well inside the deadline after being alerted to the error by another competitor who kindly sent me a PM, so I wouldn't like his kind gesture to have been in vain! As he chose to do it by PM I have preserved his anonymity! Of course I have not at this moment seen the full figures for that election, so the correction may well have a knock on effect on other fault numbers- I took the surplus 1% off UKIP and am yet to know whether that was the right decision.

You look to be much closer. I have in mind the adjacent Staplehurst which has been a Conservative loss at by-elections and only one stop up the commuter line for London. Headcorn is large and rural and 'natural' conservative but could see a drop with 4-choices? A good Independent would have been interesting.

My view is that the very good Lib Dem candidate may well be ahead or at least very close in Headcorn itself, but there will be a huge Conservative lead in the large rural hinterland, and especially Sutton Valence which is where the Conservative candidate comes from. We'll soon find out but as I am posting this about an hour before ME's deadline, I wonder whether it will affect the final postings?

Some of the Boughtons along with Sutton Valance and the public school are very much Maidstone commuter top end and should be in a Maidstone ward. I used to live on the fringe of this area in my youth.
