I assume that's the end of the road for Sarkozy?

I can see both Juppe and Sarkozy both dropping out and next weekend Fillon will have a sort of coronation.

I like the sound of Fillon and hope he wins. In a run-off between him and Le Pen I would support him. I sort of fancy a runoff between the left and FN which would mean I could support the latter unambiguously (well not entirely unambiguously) and also would give them a far better chance of winning, but I don't think this is likely. Given it is likely to be a runoff between Le Pen and the UMP candidate, with the latter winning, then that candidate being Fillon seems to be the best outcome available Interesting interview with his wife Penelope dating from when Mr F became Prime Minister (2007). Apparently Fillon liked Sarkozy because he didn't do things behind your back. Hmmmm... www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/1552097/Shell-always-have-Paris....htmlHow interesting. Thanks. I quite take to her but from the very useful thumbnail sketch above, I do not take to Fillon himself and would much prefer Juppe.

Wazemmes really isn't the kind of place where you'll expect Sarko to do particularly well. Hash. Please drop those bloody irritating photos. They waste space and disturb enjoyment of reading.

Is that good news for Fillon?

With Fillon as opponent, MLP will surely run on a decidedly national-socialist platform - her own rust belt strategy.

Sarkozy has endorsed Fillon:
Is that good news for Fillon? It was expected, and should give him the needed votes.

It would be a kind act, Hash, as your posts are very useful and having that woman whizzing forward and back makes it hard to read them.

Sarkozy seems very popular in Corsica Purely based on guesswork, but Sarkozy was a protege of the Corsican-speaking Charles Pasqua, and there has been past talk of a "Sarkomafia" in Gaullist politics with a strong Corsican component. I don't no how much traction that still has.

I have taken the unusual step of deleting his signature GIFs myself. What Hash really excels at is maps and I can't wait to see some.
