A quick request. On the old site somebody posted a link to a site that had maps showing parliamentary boundaries from a review in the 1890s (or there about). If anyone knows what I am on about could they please provide the link again as I lost it when my old computer died.

Those, if I'm right, are only the Commissioners' recommendations. Parliament may have amended them (they certainly did some of the names) so they would not necessarily be the final boundaries. The final lot will be here. If anyone wants me to get to the bottom of such an arcane mystery, they are more than welcome to buy the Commissioners' report to Parliament for me.

Do you mean this website:- www.oldmapsonline.org/#bbox=-1.877202,53.670284,-1.813172,53.696717&q=&datefrom=1000&dateto=2010 Maps from 1832? 1868 & 1885. I bought the 1947/54 reports...a let down although the proposals to add 17 seats to the 608 proposed in 47/48 make a good read....but 1969 is a v.v.good read. The later ones are online for free. The initial 1946 proposals were a right dog's breakfast. They were pulled pretty sharpish. What was proposed for my beloved Halifax was scandalous.

Found them. You're lucky. Definitely 83 & 94. Didn't know I had the 1910 report on the Electoral System. Must have downloaded them when studying. Are we allowed to share for research purposes?

It is indeed.
I'd expect there to be more red on the map next week, although maybe not in the large rural areas that give a slightly misleading overall impression.

There are seven LDs. They were lucky with the wards which came up in Three Rivers - if all wards were up it would have been different. Well in fact LDs narrowly won the popular vote again this year, although it is the least-good set of wards in the cycle from a LD perspective.

They did indeed, but of course that doesn't affect the results from last year. The Conservatives would have carried Three Rivers last year if every ward had been up. The LDs would have carried it this year if they had and by a bigger than 17 vote margin

Just realised that my 3D maps have a slight problem
I've been dividing by 10 AND 100, so most if not all of the maps are nonsense. D'oh...........
