The Prime Minister's office, last night, published a media statement that he would meet with the Governor General on Sunday morning thus fuelling speculation that he will launch one of Canada's longest ever election campaigns to conclude with polling on October 19th (and we were worried about a six week campaign in 1997). I imagine that all of the news networks in Canada will cover the event (CBC / CTV) and there is also a chance that CNN and Fox News may also have video. Therefore, as promised, here are some battlegrounds and first up are the NDP (the New Democrats) who are currently the main opposition. Under the boundary changes now in operation, the NDP are defending 109 seats (61 short of an overall majority) and so here are the NDP's top 61 targets (that would get them an overall majority)
