With three centre left parties and one centre right party it's about time the Canucks sorted out a strategy to get rid of the Tories who have won two majority governments on minority votes

Having just spend a week in BC, I got the distinct feeling that the Dauphin is heading for a bit of a fall and that the Dippers might well do very well again.

Through, there was a poll today saying Conservative 30, NDP 29, Lib 27 from a repudiable pollster.

repudiable presumably means it can be repudiated? Oops. Reputable, through EKOS has sometimes wierd outliers, but results don't seem wierd to me. Trudeau and Liberals had a terrible month due to their taxes announcements who didn't went well and their flip-flopping about the anti-terrorism law (they went from "against" to "for", angering some of their civic liberties element, some of which left for NDP). |

I guess with wide voting variations between the provinces, these voting patterns would lead to nothing like an even 3-way split in seats between the parties?

The Forum had a seat projection with its poll. Con 131, NDP 111, Lab 95, Green 1, Bloc 0. (if you think seat totals don't add up, Parliament grows from 308 seats to 338 seats.) I would take that with a whole truck of salt, through. |

I assume that the NDP are getting a federal poll boost from their victory in the Alberta provincial election? That, but also Liberals upset at their party deciding to support the controversial antiterrorism legislation introduced by Conservatives (some are saying it may infringe on individual laws or criminalize environmental advocacy and Israel boycotts, among other things). The Liberals also presented their "tax plan for the middle class", which didn't went well (it's like raising a very little bit taxes on wealthy to lower them a very little bit on "middle class" (in fact, it mostly helps high middle class)). |
