The PS are playing Manu at his own game and appealing to the "Macronistes de gauche" to join them in government.

The PS are playing Manu at his own game and appealing to the "Macronistes de gauche" to join them in government. Any chance of that happening, and how may would they need to make it work? Despite their defeat, the Macronistas still seem the only plausible anchor for a governing coalition.

Doubt it, the Méluche mob would be very angry. So Melanchon won't do anything to attract governing partners, which means the PS are just on the wind up with Macronistas? Surely the PS will have to defect from NPF at some point.

Surely the PS will have to defect from NPF at some point. JLM seems hell-bent on annoying partners within NPF so it would indeed seem sensible for the PS to consider their options.

Despite their defeat, the Macronistas still seem the only plausible anchor for a governing coalition. Incumbent president of the Laws Comittee in the assembly Sacha Houlié (Ensemble) is creating a "social démocratic" grouping. They say they have the numbers (15) to create the group which will be mainly macronists but also some former socialists who sitted with LIOT last time.

Oliver Fauvre leader of the PS has ruled this out In a full confidence in the manager way? TBF Fauvre has been the biggest proponent for the alliance since 2022

You also don’t get to call yourself a social democratic party after allying with Trots and Jihadists. though voters have rewarded the social democratic party with 40 extra seats Good for them, but they are now slaves of Melenchon, like the other German right wing parties who sucked up to Hitler.

I think that we have already seen peak Melenchon, he is now over 70 and it is arguably quite reasonable if the PS are actually looking to the longer term.
