Successor seat to Banff and Buchan, it will be Tory/SNP marginal and I suspect a national SNP seat given boundary changes. Even if he were not facing the SNP I would hope that David Duguid was a Tory who held on. Labour lost their deposit last time out with Corbyn as leader, they won't come remotely close to victory but a recovery of their vote to its natural level of 7-9% will hurt Duguid. The most pro-brexit set in Scotland it is a natural seat for Reform to put up a spoiler who strips another 900 votes from Duguid. Lib Dems who voted tactically for Duguid may also revert. Disillusioned Tories have good reason not stay at home. The SNP meltdown takes Indy off the radar and ironically gives people fewer reasons to fear them.
I expect an SNP victory

He pronounces it always as David Duke-it
In passing I will note that Alexander Burnett MSP in the neighbouring seat and parliament is Burn-it and never Burn-ette

The correct way is probably the way the subject pronounces it. Even if it was Norman La-MONT of Orkney, who ought to have known better and pronounced it LA-mont

Ok, mea culpa, but in my defence, my error was based on him taking a bottle of Highland Park to the despatch box when delivering a budget
