She's obviously delusional if she think it's at risk from standing against Labour. Seems to me Labour have probably made the right choice here, however noisy she is being about it.
That's not obviously delusional Career progression can easily be blocked in academia. Aye just because you are paranoid doesn't mean that you a not a lunatic. You seem to have some very strange ideas that University appointments and promotion committees are receiving instructions direct from Keir Starmar. A massive conspiracy theory indeed. Worthy of David Icke himself.

The majority of all academic staff will be to the left of Starmer. I think her pratty attitude and not being able to play along well with others may be more of a factor if her career progression encounter problems.

I remember a third hand story (so that's your barometer of truth) of a now ex Conservative MP canvassing well before he became an MP or indeed a candidate with some slightly younger undergraduates in the late 80s early 90s He was waiting to see if anyone was at his door and looked over to his canvassing neighbour and had a double take as Harold Wilson answered the door. "Will you be voting Conservative in this election" "I'm Harold Wilson" "Yes, sir that's what it says on our canvassing sheet. Will you be voting Coservative?"

Wilson lived in Ashley Gardens opposite Westminster Cathedral, and I can well assume some CLWCA Young Conservative type going round in the late 80s or early 90s might well have not known who he was. Unfortunately by this time Wilson didn't entirely know who he was either.

The majority of all academic staff will be to the left of Starmer. Goodness me, no. More liberal (as the term is presently usually used), yes, but the two things are not the same thing. Now of those who are very loudly political, well, that is an entirely different story.

And there is a huge variation across disciplines as well - archaeologists are a mile to the left of historians for example

I met some very reactionary professors of engineering in my two years working with HE You once worked for that journal with the photos of lightly clad young ladies? I never knew that. Perhaps you are too young?

I imagine people read it with vigour.

But as a domestic cleaner it was quite useful! The titles then on that section of the newsagents counter had very short titles like Spic, Span, Splosh; so one was told!! But HE had the greatest economy of all.

Regardless of one’s opinion of her deselection or Israel, she clearly has some character/personality issues and would have eventually snapped in the HoC if she got elected.

Vim was a useful word. I'd forgotten it existed and may have try to use it more (i.e. at all)

Abuse, devoid of evidence or logic. The evidence is surely how she has behaved in the past week. A lot of us who are mostly mainstream Labour felt some sympathy when she was potted, maybe not so much now.
