"His name is still expected to be on the ballot as his suspension happened after the nominations period closed."
F****wit stupid media. His name *WILL* be on the ballot paper, morons. Unfortunately editing standards have taken a nosedive across the board in the last few years. Even in articles by major media outlets spelling and grammatical errors are not that uncommon - for example, a Sky News article misspelled the names of 2 retiring MPs in the same sentence. It's particularly moronic as the ballot papers HAVE ALREADY BEEN PRINTED and loads of them already sent to postal voters.

Shaheen today : " Our data, from thousands of random conversations in the constituency, show that I’m ahead in the race. The Faiza Shaheen campaign has the most votes pledged. "

Shaheen today : " Our data, from thousands of random conversations in the constituency, show that I’m ahead in the race. The Faiza Shaheen campaign has the most votes pledged. " Random conversations? surely not. Fully planned specifically directed conversations possibly.

I wonder if the 'since 1997' thing is because both the current Worthing seats date back to then - ie they did look on Wikipedia and only saw the history of the seats only going back that far. Equally fuckwitted to whatever other interpretation could be put on their remarks. It reminds me of an article I saw on BBC London news a couple of weeks ago where the reporter was in Epsom and informed us all sagely that it had been safely in Conservative hands 'since 1974'. It's so annoying. Like when the BBC talked about the Tories gaining 'Brighton Hove' in 2010. I thought it was gaining a seat in Brighton and Hove Too?

How would she know how many promises Labour and the Tories have had in any case?

How would she know how many promises Labour and the Tories have had in any case? The dozens of Labour and Tory activists who have flocked (surreptitiously) to her cause and are giving her feedback.

I don't respect Faiza's tactics, but I rate them. Someone rigged a poll to make it look I was going to win the Oxford Union Secretary election - I got 18% (255 votes).

Got a feeling Shaheen will do well enough to deny Labour the seat. Which will in my view be natural justice, albeit we’ll have the joy of another 5 years of IDS.

Labour don't deserve a win, along with Brighton Pavilion and Islington North, and I think the voters have cottoned on to that. It's just a shame that Faiza won't win - she's hilariously vain. if Labour was serious about these three seats they'd have selected Faiza, Eddie Izzard and Paul Mason realistically. I often forget Labour's bungling.

One of the recent hustings can be seen on You Tube. No denying that Shaheen received the loudest applause from the audience (at key points): though there was plenty of opportunity for her to pull faces at her opponents, notably IDS and Tatler. Hopefully, the declaration on Friday will be televised: one to keep an eye on for sore loser watch.

Less so than the attendees at the account.

There should be an electoral version of the Darwin award.

I think that the sorest of sore losers will be: Emma Dent Coad, Faiza Shaheen and Johnny Mercer. I wonder if you can get a combination bet on such subjectivities!

A poll doing the rounds claiming Duncan Smith will hold on is somewhat undermined by the idea that his vote share is only down by 5%, which is a ridiculous idea.

Is that necessarily the case in London ? I have been expecting a relatively small pro-Labour swing there - if only because of the big advances made there in 2017 - and in some places in 2019.
