Good grief. What did he reply to them? I trust he put them straight and exposed them for the idiots they are? He said politely that there were no elections in Liverpool this year. There was a bit of ribbing about it later in the interview.

12,125 postal votes returned as of yesterday. That'll represent about 40-45% of total votes I guess.

this result will all be about the turnout .. UKIP could do very well % wise but on a much smaller number of votes than Tory alone ..

first guess work
Patrick Wintour @patrickwintour
Labour in South Shields says its vote share in mid-40s, UKIP reach 30 %, Tories fall from 21 % in 2010 to single figs. Libs obliterated.

Expectation management??
Not least because those figures would mean a strikingly high share for (non-UKIP) "others"......

Find out in the morning for me !! I would guess we will end up with 45-50% slightly down on 2010 but nothing we should worry about too much. Corby for us is far more important to analyse.

Well done to Sky News' Jon Craig, who seeing the Labour MP Emma Lewell-Buck coming in his vague direction, shouted out "Karen! Karen!".
