perhaps the cause of the by-election in Hackney, as is likely also to be the case tomorrow in Camden, hurt Labour more sharply than expected. Very good Labour results in Hatfield & Worthing. Hatfield is better than Worthing I think. 15% swing since 2021, compared to 6% in Worthing, although perhaps the big swing in Worthing had already happened between 2017-21.

Is that ... a *bar chart* that I see peeking through from the other side of the paper? It's not just any bar chart either....take a look at the size of the bars against the figures I may live to regret saying this, but that is a bar-chart that SCREAMS "Lib Dem GAIN". Just at the moment, I'd bet my house on it based on that bar-chart alone.

From Toby Perkins' Twitter An early morning glance at my Facebook reveals that Debbie Wheeldon is the same Debbie Wheeldon who represented Meir South Ward on Stoke City Council between 2011-19.

I'm told Labour have won Woughton and Fishermead with 73% of the vote. Which would be about a 3% increase since May.

The 'progressive alliance' at any cost lot (FBPA... lol) have some very bizarre takes on election results, apparently the Hackney result proves the need for one... somehow... :/

Full result now in from Milton Keynes:
Sue Smith (Labour) 1355 73.2% Rafal Brewczynski (Con) 340 18.4% Raissa Roy (LD) 154 8.3%
Such a strong Labour area I'm not sure this tells you much - nothing of note in that result I can see.

I’m amazed he posted it for Hackney. He thinks Con 49%, Lab 30%, LD 21% would be won by a progressive alliance candidate
