The chairs of the parliamentary groups Renaissance: Aurore Bergé Rassemblement national: Marine Le Pen Les Républicains: Olivier Marleix Gauche démocrate et républicaine (communistes et apparentés): André Chassaigne Parti socialiste: Boris Vallaud La France insoumise: Mathilde Panot MoDem: Jean-Paul Mattei Horizons: Laurent Marcangeli Ecologistes: Julien Bayou and Cyrielle Chatelain Ultramarins, territoires, insularités, libertés (provisional name): Bertrand Pancher UTIL now apparently considers adding Égalité and Solidarité to its name to become UTILES. It is quite a mess, made up of the ruins of the Libertés et Territoires group. It includes most of overseas MPs, the UDI, what's left of the PRG, the anti-NUPES ex-PS, regionalists from Corsica and Britanny...

LFI performed indeed worse than most others, but after seeing certain results i expected a higher difference (of course it helped them, that they had generally less difficult seats than, for example, EELV):

The elec.results provided by the French InteriorMinistry with its great distinction between % measured at both - all eligible votes ("inscrits") and only valid ones ("exprimés") - and its ambitious try to press parties into few categories: Regions: Round I: Votes: %-inScrits: %-exPrimés: Seats: Round II: Departments: Round I: RoundII: If anyone is interested, i can copy the constituency-results into GoogleDrive.

Kinda looks as if the Front was actively trying to give credence to JLM's new pet talkingpoint of a de facto LREM-RN pact...

We also had an Olympic silver medallist sports minister once: Colin Moynihan, cox for the British Lightweight VIII at Moscow in 1980. Can't think of many other distinguished sportsmen/sportswomen to hold the job.? Strangely Blair chose to overlook the former middleweight boxing champion of Hong Kong. Who was that? Tom Pendry. (Sorry to have replied so late – I've been offline for a while!)

Tom Pendry. (Sorry to have replied so late – I've been offline for a while!) The only shadow minister not to get a job IIRC. Had been a minister under Callaghan as well, there weren't many of them under Blair.

Also shows how despicable is the True Finns party, to use a man with obvious mental health problems as a way to fish for votes.

Blimey.
There can't be many Finnish MPs who have acted as a bodyguard for Cheap Trick.
