UKIP clearly not far off replacing plaid as Wales' third party.
I knew all that racism nonsense emanating from Leanne, the Carmarthen foghorn and other assorted plaid grandees in general wouldn't help their cause, Welsh people just don't like the bigots calling anyone UnWelsh just because they won't vote for the backward friends of the druids party.
The idiots have put their party back light years as UKIP hoover up the deserting Labour vote which was plaids only hope of breaking out of their isolated areas.
Mind you the cons are looking a little rocky as well.

But despite the allegations of racism being levelled at her by a certain poster on this forum, her net approval rating rose, and by more than that of any other party leader that was polled for. Care to explain how that squares with your assertion that the alleged racism is damaging both her and her party?

Judging by her latest performance on BBC Wales tonight pity I'd imagine

Well you are hardly an unbiased commentator, she speaks well and what she says seems to resonate with voters.

There was a poll on those supporting Wales as an independent country reported on Radio 4 this morning.
Apparently support has fallen from 5% to 3%!
Does anyone know anything about this poll?

A multi question poll, putting support for a stronger National Assembly at 49%. A poll a few days earlier had support for independence at 17% So make of it what you will. My guess is that most would like more powers to the National Assembly now with many of those backing that also wanting independence, while 3% would like independence now.

Plaid behind UKIP on the regional and the Lib Dems in sixth behind the Greens. Do we really think either of these could happen?

Neither are absolutely implausible, but remember that Welsh polls suck.

Don't worry, they'll find a way of fucking it up. Besides the regional list figures are always absolute junk.

There is plenty of potential for UKIP in Wales to take the anti-politics vote and at the last couple of Welsh Assembly elections the combined UKIP + BNP vote has been quite high and enough for at least a seat.
At the next elections UKIP should aim for a seat in every region at least.

Interesting the the BNP vote it the natural territory of UKIP....
I think the anti politics appeal of UKIP has to be challenged, look at the current UKIP MEP for Wales who claimed to be a non politician while clearly being one. With increased poll ratings comes increased scrutiny.
Having said that I fully expect to see UKIP AMs after the next Welsh General Election - usual health warning on Welsh Polls.

I see..... so you're deciding who exactly votes for who now then are you? Wonderful insight into the machinations of polling booth activity.
As regards your second comment how exactly do you define a politician then?
I'd have thought it a quite simple definition......someone who has been elected surely?
Anyone who has stood for election and not been elected is surely a failed politician with aspirations not an actual politician.
Nathan Gill had never been elected to anything until this years Euro's, by your definition every single assistant, secretary, chauffer, cleaner, clerk etc etc employed by an MP, MEP, Police Commissioner or County councillor is a politician.
Look, as I've explained before, it's not my fault that the self certified party of Wales have slipped out of the top 3 of Welsh politics as UKIP the Real party of Wales overtake them whilst handing down political scraps to plaid in the form of the gift of keeping their Welsh MEP seat due to UKIP just failing to top the Euro election in Wales.
Just accept the gift with good grace and stop whining about the party that left Wales' fading dreamers trailing in their wake by such a massive margin.
You'll feel better for it and UKIP might throw you a few more scraps now and again if you stop being nasty.
