Interesting that there is no Independent Community Health candidate in Rock and Bewdley. It’s about 20 years since they were formed in Kidderminster now and are still on the council so they obviously have some durability.
Does anyone know what their politics are? Have they morphed into a sort of Residents group? I recall( possibly incorrectly) that they might have been close to the Lib Dem’s at one stage.

EPSOM & EWELL BC; Nonsuch (Resident Association died) 2011: Nonsuch Independent Residents: 1447, 1416, 1397; Con 378, 354, 342, LD 145, 117, 97; Lab 130, 129 I was the runner-up on that occasion, for once I was the highest Conservative on the ballot paper. (The same effect was seen with Labour but unusually the Residents saw the effect completely mirrored. The Lib Dems had the bottom two out of line.) Nonsuch is an area that overlaps authorities and so there are adjacent wards with the same name. The Epsom & Ewell ward is the eastern bulge of the borough. There's lots of open space including Nonsuch Park, the two main residential areas are east Ewell either side of the railway line (Ewell East station is in the ward) and the Ewell Downs estate in the south east of the ward.

They’re also calling themselves the Wyre Forest Independent Party according to their Wiki page, and are affiliated to the NHS Action Party nationally. Here’s their manifesto which probably goes some way to clarifying your policy question www.healthconcernwf.org.uk

I think folk might check out other stories from the Suffolk Gazette, including the one below about the Queen's secret hen night in Ipswich. "You couldn't make it up". www.suffolkgazette.com/about/

They're also now using "Wyre Forest Independent Party" and would seem to have adopted more localist positions beyond healthcare.

They're also now using "Wyre Forest Independent Party" and would seem to have adopt more localist positions beyond healthcare. In the past the LDs have often not stood against them (and IIRC supported Dr Richard Taylor's election campaigns). If they're broadening out into a general localist outfit, then I can't see the LDs continuing to stand aside as often, if at all.

If they're broadening out into a general localist outfit, then I can't see the LDs continuing to stand aside as often, if at all. It really depends what they're like. In Hart we have an arrangement with Community Campaign Hart which worked rather well this year and they're a decent bunch (effectively generally centrist/centre right localists). That works by CCH standing in Church Crookham and Fleet Central and Fleet West and we stand everywhere else...

They also only have a handful of councillors these days across authorities. The Lib Dems have stood against them for the parliamentary seats since 2010 and they didn't show up in 2017. All signs suggest the classic fading echo of a single issue blip.
