Most Greens are doubtlessly hyper-modern, want to replace technics with more technics (cf. the high number of green LaborRats), try to reduce mankind to external structures; but few of them intend a real metanoia. "The New Left consists of misguided reactionaries." (GOMEZ DAVILA) That seems to be the opposite of what you originally said, leaving me even more confused. In mind i had at my first posting SOME or FEW left Greens as AntiModernizers (going to leave a bus when writing i forgot that, sorry).

Anti-Modernisers in the Green party in England & Wales, there are hardly any of us, Me and a Druid from Gwynedd, all the other Greens on the forum and 90% + of members are on the pro-science and evidence based side of the argument, and reject population control measures.

So exactly the same, what modern "science" is: A technicism not discovering the world via theories, but exploiting it via "working hypothesis". But e.g. the beauty of a rose is per se neither "unscientific" nor "subjective" nor "irrational" - it is just hampering the exploitation and "beauty is wounding" human hybris. I wish You the very best! (In my country [Austria] i know more antitechnical GREENies, unfortunately usually also devoted to an "esoterical" [=magical] technicism.)

Went to a good talk tonight by Nic Cheeseman "How to rig an election", which was mainly about African presidential elections, but was also a general overview of what he called "authoritarian learning". You can watch it here: www.facebook.com/unibirmingham/videos/507199239760343/

There's an election in Zambia today but I don't know whether it's worth starting a new thread. Probably better than bumping a three year old thread for a separate country.
