There are 8 by-elections during the second half of March, 5 in April and the first one for 02 May. This brings the year to date total ahead of the 2019 May elections to 30, of which 25 are in England and 2 in Scotland and 3 in Wales.
There are in addition 15 identified vacancies where the date of the forthcoming election is not yet known Many of these are likely to be held on 02 May, some as "double" elections,
There is also 1 impending vacancy which is highly likely to be a "double" election on 02 May.

According to the Craven website, Tanya Graham, Conservative member for Upper Wharfedale on Craven District Council, has resigned. Her term of office runs to 2020.
