This will be the busiest week for this March with 8 elections -modest compared with the election blizzards in February.
Can some kind person tell me where the SOPN for Bolton Farnworth can be found- Bolton MB, leading candidate for worst election local authority website in the country , appears to have done it again and is displaying the form for last January's byelection but not Farnworth? Andrew Teale I know frequently resorts to photographing the public notices on display here so avoiding the website, but ME has indicated there are six candidates, so has the info from somewhere!

I phoned the council at a couple of minutes to five only to find all of Electoral Services had gone home. I did speak to the PA / Secretary to the Leader who very helpfully found the information on the nominations I posted a week or more ago.

Another appeal for help from the forum! The one remaining election for March 8th not yet posted on this thread is at Droylsden East in Tameside MB. I have the candidates and all election details from 2004 to 2015 inclusive and so am all ready to post on this , except for a missing result for 2016, the last time it was fought I assume. To be precise I have all the scores from that election too, except the winning Labour vote - it is missing from both the council website and from LEAP which at the moment is simply copying the erroneous council website. Sometimes I can then get a result off wikipedia but that also is a blank. Anybody with local knowledge or another source? If that fails I will try ringing the Council to see if they can help, but I try the forum self-help first!

You won't need to ring the council. As well as andrew's help, I have the result and can post it here later this afternoon when I get home.

Thanks everybody - I think I now have the result for the Labour vote in Droylesden East about five times over! I particularly like Pete's reply as (a) his was the first so I tried it first and got the answer, and (b) he didn't actually get me the numbers, he reminded me of an excellent source I had forgotten all about, and I will have a lot of fun reminding myself of all it has to offer. And why do I do these things if not to learn? /but I am grateful to you all.

The 2003 and the 2007 résulta for Nottingham are wierdly similar. I'm wondering whether there is in fact a slight error there. Not that it would matter that much. They were similar but its Woolaton West 2003 Con 2630/2563/2433. Lab 1197/1178/1087. LD 688/678/676 2007 Con 2670/2408/2305. Lab 1169/1097/1013. LD 805/744/667. Green 498. UKIP 483. CME 115
