Its not a moose but a reindeer, and its the owner of the reindeer, Niklas Jonsson, who has reported the matter after being sent the pictures by a tv-journalist. Domesticated reindeer sometimes get shot but this seems to have been organized. As he says this is similar to someone shooting a farmer's cow. Its a bit controversial that the police is only treating it as a suspected theft rather than an organized crime because its not something that is likely to occur by accident, whoever organized the trip would have known they were going after domesticated reindeer. The Sami National Association wants higher penalties for illegal hunting of reindeer.

They'd have been better off mobilising people at the ballot box.
Orban is in power because they all failed to provide any kind of meaningful alternative other than to say they didn't like Orban. The crooks of the MSZP said he was crooked, the nationalists of Jobbik said he was nationalistic, and the other jokers were useless.

In a lot of cases, @sp, rural poverty is actually worse than inner city poverty because of social and geographic isolation, which leads to greater despair. Many poorer areas in the UK which once gave UKIP so many seats are very isolated in transport terms (e.g. the district of Torridge, which has no railway stations in it at all) and are far from the cities meaning outside alternative opportunities are inaccessible to many people there.

Many progressive parties around the world display this same attitude (the one stated at the end of this article) since they are often failing to reach out to rural and poorer voters and are too city-focused. It is holding them back significantly and they need to be more inclusive and more understanding. Rather like the poster on this site that dismissively states rural poverty is not as bad as inner city poverty. Then wonders why they don't vote Labour. Who is that, then?

No they are not. The correct pronunciations are "Fidesz" and "Budapest" respectively. The insanity is in the brain of the journalists who pronounced them as if they were Polish names instead of Hungarian, and who obviously didn't bother to check their facts with the BBC pronunciation unit. Sorry but you are incorrect. Sz represents a straight s in English, and s represents a sh in English. This is nothing to do with Polish, where sz represents a sh sound. You might wonder why Hungarian does this, in opposition to normal European practice. It isn't anything to do with Hungarian being an Ugric language. However Hungary is a strange place as we have just seen with their election. PS: The tennis player Monica Seles was an ethnic Hungarian, and her name should have been pronounced Shelesh, but she gave up on this after moving to the USA. I find it bizarre that John Chanin's post got 4 likes even though it was incorrect and illogical, whereas my accurate post only got 1 like. But anyway.
