The negotiations between the four borgerlige parties are still ongoing. Venstre want a "blue-green" four party government ("with an oil free Lofoten & Vesterålen, good climate solutions, more jobs and a school where all children are seen" to quote Skei Grande, KrF aren't keen on getting into government and Progress say it has been discussed a many times, but isn't particularly realistic and Siv Jensen points out that "we have a government and it sits until its toppled".

Lots of critique from Venstre's local branches, where many feel that Trine Skei Grande & Co have stretched a conference decision about a blue-green government too far by trying to enter a government with Progress and that the leadership should at least have declared this prior to the campaign to avoid misleading the voters.

Disclosure: I have not read this thread after the election. The election result means more tax-cuts, more municipality mergers. more local hospital closures, less local police, centralization of every government workplace. All in all, the verst possible outcome for a rural socialist like me.
1. Labour. Gahr Støre has to go. Labour has no tradition for sacking their leader, but he was a disaster from a to z ( or a-å). A multi-millionaire leading the labour party is a disaster in the first place. The rest of the leadership has to go, especially Giske (the campaign manager). This means there are no viable leadership candidates left.
2. Høyre and Frp. Best possible outcome. Not much else to say.
3. Krf and V. Boh parties barely made the threshold and made the opposite conclusions. The V leadership will join the government, but the party membership is reluctant. The Krf leadership wants to go into opposition, but the electorate is more supportive of the government.
4. Center party. They were the winners and the losers. The biggest increase in vote share, but no more influence. Can cooperate with Krf on some issues to defeat the government.
5. The left. Sv had an ok election. After going backwards three elections in a row, this result was a big victory. Lysbakken was arguably the best leader during the campaign. Red did more or less as expected.
6. Greens. Big disappointment. They where mostly over the treshold during the campaign, but where did the voters go in the end? I belive mostly to R, SV and V in Oslo.

Voted Rødt, and my hope is a result over 3 %, and party leader Moxnes elected from Oslo. That's the party that hates Harald V, isn't it? Two months too late, but no one hates Hrarald. Personally, I love him, mostly because of his fondness for every form of skiing! It's the principle that matters.
