Great to see a reference to wapentakes in there. Some day I will go into a darkened room for a month with boundary assistant and try to produce a set of constituencies which do not cross the boundaries of traditional counties, wapentakes, hundreds and rapes. The electorate numbers will be shot to shit but I will not care. |

I believe a rape is a group of hundreds, rather like a wapentake - but a rape is southern, particularly Sussex.
