Hmmm, some rather small "regions" there.
And I'm sure lots of Yorkshire people will approve of those arrangements - not.

Proposed new regions by UK2070:- He's sort of copied my regions in some areas. I don't see the need for that East Coast region nor for the splitting of various counties

Anyway I'm not going to be impressed by anyone else's proposals for regions if they aren't accompanied by models of FPTP election results going back to 1973

That map is an abomination. It would be more democratic to obliterate the whole of civilisation with nuclear weapons and start again from the beginning, rather than to accept that proposal.

Taken a while for me to get a LEAP update out thanks to holidays and real life, but here we have Northumberland 2017. C 33 (+12) Lab 24 (-8) Ind 7 (+4) LD 3 (-8). Changes based on 2013: C gain from Ind Bywell Longhoughton (this seat had been gained by the Lib Dems in a by-election) C gain from Lab Cramlington Eastfield Cramlington Village Pegswood Prudhoe North Prudhoe South C gain from LD Alnwick (1) Berwick North Berwick West with Ord Morpeth Kirkhill Morpeth Stobhill Norham and Islandshires Ind gain from C Hexham West (confirming a by-election gain) Ind gain from Lab Bedlington Central Bedlington East Bedligton West Ind gain from LD Berwick East Rothbury The Liberal Democrats held South Blyth on the drawing of lots after tying for first place with the Conservatives. No split divisions. There will now follow a Tyne and Wear series in the run-up to the Northumbria PCC by-election.

Northumberland 2021 election will be very interesting. There’s quite a few seats that the Tories only won because of their massive polling lead at the time and which will have went Labour comfortably in the June general election.

Labour also massively underperformed in places because of that row/scandal/whatever over moving the council HQ.

Labour also massively underperformed in places because of that row/scandal/whatever over moving the council HQ. Places like Hexham constituency are notable for how completely ridiculously better Labour performed in June than May. It’s very difficult to even work out where the hell their June vote came from considering how dire their May performance was.

I suppose some clue comes from more historic local results when Labour performed better?

Proposed new regions by UK2070:- In the South the proposals are quite good. It's inconsistent though to care so much about Cornwall and so little about Yorkshire. Splitting Staffordshire is pretty pointless.

Powys 2017. Ind 30 (-17) C 19 (+9) LD 13 (+4) Lab 7 (+1) PC 2 (+2) Grn 1 (+1). Changes based on 2012: C gain from Ind Caersws Dolforwyn Gwernyfed Llanbrynmair Llandinam Llandrindod North Llandrinio Llanyre Meifod Newtown South Trewern C gain from LD Newtown Llanllwchaiarn North St Mary Grn gain from Ind Llangors Ind gain from LD Newtown East Lab gain from Ind Ystradgynlais LD gain from C Glasbury (confirming a by-election gain) Hay Llandrindod South Newtown Central LD gain from Ind Felin-fâch Llangattock Llanidloes PC gain from Ind Glantwymyn Llanwddyn Independents won nine seats unopposed, Labour five, the Conservatives one (Meifod) and the Liberal Democrats one (Bwlch), Yscir had no candidates; a by-election was held which resulted in a Conservative gain from Ind. The Liberal Democrat councillor for Felin-fâch is Roger Williams, the former MP for Brecon and Radnorshire. The independent councillor for Banwy is Myfanwy Alexander, who is one-half of the Welsh team on Radio 4's Round Britain Quiz. My previous Powys maps have had Welsh translations for the division names, however I have removed these from this map. This is because the current Powys boundary order was written in 1998 in English only and as such doesn't have official Welsh names for the divisions. (There are Welsh-language lists in circulation, but they don't always agree with each other.)

If UK parliamentary constituencies had different time zones, based on Greenwich Mean Time, but at 10-minute intervals

If UK parliamentary constituencies had different time zones, based on Greenwich Mean Time, but at 10-minute intervals Unfortunately the picture isn't working for me.
