I rejoined the LibDems today. Could @bossman or his proxies change my status please? Thanks 🔶🟧🧡 Added to that group, so you should now have the option to change your colour

It has been asserted that Lee Anderson's joining Reform raised the average IQ of both parties. I do not think that this event moves the dial but it is welcome for other reasons

Missed opportunity, I could have waited until today and April Fools-ed a defection to ReformUK. Maybe next year.

I do note however that Elinor Helyn has assumed Labour colours, so welcome.

Defected to the Top Poster Party. Out of interest how is this title awarded? 5000 posts I think. (definitely somewhere between 4100 and 6786 at least )

(definitely somewhere between 4100 and 6786 at least ) That has puzzled me for some time given that most with high numbers of posts retain their party affiliation or non aligned status? I notice that there is a group for Forum Regular. Some in this category have around 10-15 posts?

I assume it's for non-aligned people (which is probably the forum default) when they reach a certain mark.
On RailUK which I stopped posting on a while back there was a similar 'status' awarded when you reached x number of posts, the admins manually set it, periodically increased it and refused to publicise the number for fear of spam postings to achieve it. The number was very obscure - 5132 rather than a nice round 5000 etc.

Things might have changed a bit in the last few years, but from memory, a Newbie is someone who has posted fewer than 10 times, a Forum Regular is someone who has posted 10 to 4999 times, and. Top Poster is someone who has posted 5000 or more times. All of us are in one of those categories. You can choose to be displayed in these ways even if you’re in a party group. There is/was a setting in place so that Newbies cannot create threads so as to deter spam, which has been largely successful.

Yes, he has evidently decided he no longer wants to be displayed in Labour colours (at least for now)

I think the default label is Non-Aligned, but you can remove this (or another party group) and it will change to Newbie/Forum Regular/Top Poster as applicable. Curiosity got the better of me some weeks ago, leading me to accidentally delete my Non-Aligned label with no way of restoring it!
