Indeed! Though a good local BME candidate may tick both boxes....its just given the disgraceful Tory campaign against Sadiq I wonder if the local party might feel disposed to select a BME candidate. It's not as if we are exactly over represented in that regard. Unlike Battersea, the CLP is very white , middle class woman dominated. The type who are paid quite a lot to do something or other, but you are not sure what on Lambeth Council or a charity. Only Wandsworth Labour EM Cllr is in North Battersea, and although a pleasant individual, is not really a prospective MP. The candidate chosen is mixed heritage Polish-Pakistani

I am only leaning to say a Conservative Gain if they pick a good candidate and they run a good campaign.

Graveney: Lab 4,547, C 1,624, GP 325, L Dem 261, UKIP 154. Nightingale: C 3,978, Lab 2,630, GP 366, L Dem 357, UKIP 245. Tooting: Lab 4,972, C 1,999, GP 267, L Dem 247, UKIP 171. There was of course a by election in Earlsfield ward on Ge day. Rather closer to David's results than Andys. David does seem to have underestimated that wards turnout though.

Think you will save your deposit? Given the 15% we got in 2010, and 20% in 2005, I think that's entirely possible

re: the picture of her chatting to Corbyn: how *DO* those shoes stay on her feet? What is it about women's shoes that the prime directive is to remove as much as possible of the actual functionality of shoe-ness as possible, getting as close to making them impossible as possible for them to actually function as shoes as possible?
