Will the re-run of the election be only the 2 candidates in the second round, or will they have to re-run both rounds from the beginning? If the latter, will it be the same candidates or with re-nominations?

That's disappointing, I was hoping for the whole thing. When is the new president due to be sworn in?

If the latter, will it be the same candidates or with re-nominations? No new candidates are allowed. So, if e.g. v.d.Bellen dies away - FPÖ-InternetForums made his weak health (strongly smoking) an issue -, the ReRunOff must happen with him as candidate; the top of such a burlesque would be, that those many frightened of an FPÖ-president would deliver a dead v.d.Bellen another majority (leading to an entirely new election with two rounds et cet.).

2 good news for the FPÖ:
- The present polls indicate a NeckToNeck-race once again. - Also, most people have told pollsters to find the election repeated the right decision.

Oh no! A prominent leftwing lawyer is planning to go to the EuropeanCourt for HumanRights about the repetition of the election. This could end as a total burlesque.

I can't find anything in English-language media about this. Dr. Zanger intends to argue, that making his vote invalid was a violation. Eventually he will bring in the case of those, who have died since. It's reported at www.oe24.at (SPÖ-near daily).

I miss Haider. An Austrian fascist should always resemble an exceedingly camp bond villain.

Looks like Hofer might have some mo... Up from 52 to 53 per cent, so maybe we shouldn't overdo it And polls overstated him last time.....
