Down to 50.15% for PPK with 95.066% of precincts counted. The rural vote goes to Keiko, but it might be decided by the expats in the end.

So not only the flags of Peru and Austria are very similar... Nah, but this is more ÖVP vs. FPÖ (if Jörg Haider had run a dictatorship in the 90s).

53,712 between them with 96.26% of precincts counted. Keiko hasn't gained on the last two counts.

Turnout is 80.9% so far. It was 81.8% in the 1st round and even with "mandatory" voting I had expected it to drop a bit more.

Waiting for Asia now with hardly anything counted, but I doubt there will be enough to tip it (even if Keiko winning on the Asian vote would be quite fitting..). The other expat votes seems to be too evenly divided to make a difference.
With 60.9% of American precincts counted its
PPK 47.7 Keiko 52.3
With 53.0% of European precincts counted its
PKK 58.7 Keiko 41.3

The Lancashire school boy is going to be President of Peru? Most likely. PPK's margin in Europe should make up for Asia + there are still 504 uncounted precincts in the US (out of 939) and PPK leads with 56.3% in the US. I see no reason why he shouldn't win a majority in the rest, and that's a big chunk of the remaining Americas vote. The caveat is that there could be some rural areas out which are very lopsided, but it doesn't look like it.

98.22% of precincts counted and a 50,065 difference.
These numbers now include 31.4% of the Asian precincts (incl. 35.7% of the Japanese). Keiko has gotten 82.0% in Asia.
91% counted in the Americas and its almost a tie - PPK 51.5 vs. Keiko 48.5.
72.7% of the European precincts counted with 57.8% to PPK. 95% of Oceania counted with 76% to PPK.
Based on the above I think its safe to say that if Keiko catches up it won't be because the expat vote (which means its unlikely she will..).

98.85% of Peruvian precincts counted.
The remaining departments with 3% or more uncounted are:
Ayacucho 97.8 (Keiko leads 51.6 - but small department) Callao 97% (50/50) Cusco 96.9 (PPK leads 65.8%) Loreto 95.9 (PPK leads 53.9) Moquegua 97.2 (PPK leads 67.9)
Lima has 98.8% counted and PPK leads 50.1/49.9
So the majority of uncounted votes are in PPK friendly areas. Calling it for PPK now.

Probably a safer bet. It's hard to believe she would have been very different from Daddy.

South America nevers fails to deliver. A Pole from Blackpool beats a Japanese woman, not long after a Lebanese usurps a Bulgarian and an Italian defeats the widow of a Croat Swiss.

Didn't get the Blackpool reference (the Lancashire boarding school?), but PKK isn't Polish despite the surname. His father Max Hans Kuczyński was the son of two German Jews (mother née Schlesinger). He was born in Posen, but only lived there a year and grew up in Berlin (and served in the German army during WW1). PKKs mother was Swiss-French Madeleine Godard (aunt to Jean-Luc Godard). So he is German Jewish-French-Swiss. Of course somewhere along the way a Polish Kuczyński must have married a Jewish woman, but that hardly makes PKK Polish.

So he is German Jewish-French-Swiss. Of course somewhere along the way a Polish Kuczyński must have married a Jewish woman, but that hardly makes PKK Polish. It was a fairly jokey comment to be honest. Didn't know the Godard connection, how strange! The Blackpool reference is indeed to his school, although it's technically in Fleetwood.
