Might be worth mentioning as a footnote that there was a previous by-election in Coal Aston in the spring of 2014. (as both this place and andrewteale seem to have missed it) The move to the Tories since then is obvious, but this also seems to be part of a longer term trend. Demographics/new build? When I wrote the preview, Coal Aston was ringing all sorts of mental bells as a place I'd written about before
