Christopher Appleby , Lib Dem councillor for Halcon ward on Taunton Deane BC has resigned Only elected last May and has taken up a politically restricted job. Conservatives won one of the seats in the ward last year, for the first time ever, doubt they will repeat it though. |

The Stapleford Community website has published a notice of vacancy ( issued yesterday ) for Toton and Chilwell Meadows ward of Broxtowe BC , The Broxtowe BC website does not have any information on this subject at the moment .

There are 8 by-elections remaining during January and 12 already called for February with a further 24 known vacancies, 22 in England and 2 in Wales, where there is as yet no date. It is probable that some of these will be left vacant until May when they will be filled by either "double" elections or following re-warding.
