First Quebec results in putting Libs in first (on a miniscule sample) in a seat from 4th.

There are a large number of NS and NB seats the Libs have won tonight that they last won in '93.

Gaspésie—Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine was won by the NDP in 2011 by 800 votes. Boundary changes have shifted it to the BQ by about 1,500.

The Conservatives are down by about 20 points in Atlantic Canada but the polls had them down by only about 8 or 9 points nationally, which suggests they must be doing significantly better elsewhere if the polls are anywhere near right.

CBC calls Trudeau as next PM. Probably right although it assumes that the NDP are going to automatically support a Liberal minority government. I would have waited a bit longer before making the call.

Looks like a very comfortable overall majority for the Liberals . Likely to end up with around 190 - 195 seats .

It's possible the polls have underestimated the Conservative share of the vote because they're currently on 30% with more than 70% of votes still to be counted. The most recent polls were putting them on about 31%.
