Yep, confirmed, Tories gained. Bloody marvellous. That's shafted Ian. Rather a bugger for the Prediction Competition though. I see +10 penality points being dished out left, right and centre...... which probably won't have any effect on the outcome as the majority of people if not everyone will have got the penalty.

so there should be ... especially over the decision to call it early. There was no need to call it at all. Could have been held on May 22nd.

Me too Phil, I just thought his moment had passed, but I was wrong - the weather might have helped as well with getting out his vote. Not a straw in the wind for May though as when the Tories were being thrashed across Birmingham, Mr Sambrook nearly took the seat. A popular young bloke.

I had a feeling it might be, and almost stuck my neck out in the prediction competition (instead of predicting Labour to squeak it). I was a little surprised no one went for a punt myself. Nearly posted as such but that would have set a precedent whereby I might be drawn into commenting on other predictions.

Congratulations to garysambrook of this parish. A well deserved win no doubt. this is the first time a Tory has been elected in this ward I think since 1969 and only the third time in the ward's history

Resources, in that sense, often matter far less than is often thought.

Except for saying that Grundy was last elected in "May 2013". Don't think so, somehow.....
