Not once. Not ever is there a bad response on the doorstep that you tweet about. It's always good. Always.

yeah just going through Tory tweets and they are different, do not mention much on the door but full of their candidate being local.

Trivia about the Richmondshire ward.
Arkengarthdale was the birthplace of John Harker in 1846. He went on to establish a lighterage business which eventually became John Harker Shipbuilders located in Knottingley, Yorkshire. He himself was elected a councillor to the Urban District and eventually became its Chairman. The last of 369 ships built at the shipyard was launched in 1979.
The company named many of the petrol barges after "dales". One such was the Arkendale H which collided with the Wastdale H at the entrance to the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal in October 1960. This resulted in one of the spans of the bridge carrying the railway line over the River Severn being destroyed. The line was never re-opened.

Looks a Tory win in Kingstanding There will be blood on the curtains in the Labour Group room if that's correct.

Looks a Tory win in Kingstanding That was not the tone of your previous posts. Why not wait for the result and post that? All else is irritating white noise.

If this is true then it's a very good result for us.
Am guessing turnout of our usual voters might have been a lot higher, rather than mass switching of votes to us.

I had a feeling it might be, and almost stuck my neck out in the prediction competition (instead of predicting Labour to squeak it).

Yep that would be right there because of the Tory candidates appeal as a local candidate and KS is very parochial ... Still awaiting figures.

Yep, confirmed, Tories gained. Bloody marvellous. That's shafted Ian. Rather a bugger for the Prediction Competition though.
