Vacancy in Stone ward, Dartford BC. This is the seat of John Adams (Lab) Labour's Parliamentary candidate back in 2010. He hadn't attended council since Labour selected their new candidate last October.

By election announced for March 13th Runnymede BC Chertsey Meads ward reason not known missing councillor Diana Cotty , Conservative Diana Cotty died in 2012 and the by-election to replace her took place on 27 September 2012, the winner being Peter Boast (Cons). Sadly, it appears he died in mid January (a Facebook page called The Chertsey Show announces the death of a Peter Boast, I assume it's the same one). |

You're right, it's not there - but I emailed East Hants and got a confirmation that they're both on that day. The EHDC officer seemed quite put out that I pointed out that she had the county notice up, but not the district one  James |

Political contests I know about are in Hedge End , Ware , Bradford On Avon and East Grinstead . |

There are a further 5 by-elections during February, 17 so far identified to be held in March, 1 already in April and an additional 21 vacancies where there is no date as yet for the by-election.
There is also an election called and two pending for the Common Council of the Corporation of London. As the Council is non-partisan I do not include it in my list of elections and vacancies.
