Sheila Waudby , Labour councillor for Marfleet ward on Kingston on Hull UA has sadly died .
Sheila Derwent , Conservative councillor for Blacko and Higherford ward on Pendle BC faces disqualification if she fails to attend one of two committee meetings in early January . She has apparently moved to Dorset .
Tendring Peter Bruff ward by election is on Feb 6th

It swept to control in a landslide after previously being the third largest group. Yes, there will be issues.

She managed OK from 2008 to 2012 when Labour were in opposition . Did you read the article? She has just taken on a new job. I know a couple of very good councillors who were faced with the choice of either staying on the council or being sidelined at work. One accepted a demotion at work so they could remain a councillor, the other stood down from the council. |

Would I be right in saying that in cases where a councillor dies after November 22 and was due for reelection in May that the local authority has the option of waiting until May 22nd if no party moves a writ ?
