Any sign of the full result in North Walsham East? It's been declared as a Lib Dem hold but I've not seen any figures.

WIGAN Winstanley Lab hold Marie MORGAN (Labour Party Candidate) 746 Andrew COLLINSON (UK Independence Party) 421 Stan BARNES (Community Action Party) 326 Michael WINSTANLEY (The Conservative Party Candidate) 180 Steven HEYES (The Green Party Candidate) 55 David BOWKER (Independent) 27 John SKIPWORTH (Liberal Democrats) 19 This does rather emphasise just how much the LD vote is disappearing in the north-west

I have a rumour from Teignbridge. But it may be a TC bye in Newton Abbot which is supposed to be a LD gain from Con.

This does rather emphasise just how much the LD vote is disappearing in the north-west No of LD votes in this ward in 2006/2007/2008/2010/2011/2012 was zero So they got zero in all the national elections too? If you can't recognise what's happening more fool you - I'm quite happy for your party to be obliterated for good, but I'm surprised how little you appear to be doing to shore up your support in areas where you were strong.

The candidate used to live in London. He was in days of yore a LD cllr in Harrow (Marlborough war I think). S possibly he volunteered.

Don't be such a stupid prat , look at the results in byelections in Prescot and Maghull for example this year .

Wigan has never been great territory for us. As the previous ward results here are fairly typical of although possibly longer without candidate than most.

Town council elections don't count Disagree they can be indicative. Don't treat them quite as seriously but if the main parties fight them they have informative value. I don't add them into stats when analysing though.
