I’m not surprised. A very local LD candidate against a not very local Con candidate. I’m regretting ‘only’ going 67/33 in the prediction comp, where as I started off with a rough number of 77/23 but chickened out a bit.

I would say for a by election in such a rural area and in late October it’s a very good turnout . It certainly beats most wards in Wakefield in May.
