Pembrokeshire is a Con gain Very much had the backing of the local newspaper, which still counts for something in Haverfordwest and its environs. The Western Telegraph?

Tory hold in Runnymede
Con - 520 (+13.9%) Lab - 262 (-13.2%) LD - 85 (-7.6%) Green - 63 (+6.8%) did not stand last time
13.6% swing from Lab to Con.
Considering Labour only lost by 9 votes in May 2024, a disappointing result

That’s a bit of a shock - not so much that Labour lost. In the days when the Lib Dems were the largest party on the council, they never won there. In fact, I don’t think they ever finished better than third in the past. Surprised too that the Tory vote wasn’t higher.
