Perhaps a point by point rejoinder to The Bishop 's quite salient points rather than a dismissal based on somebody being a Labour poster. As has been previously posted, I distrusted Kier Starmer long before most people heard of him, but that doesn't mean that The Bishop 's response to your original attack post lacks validity. Ad hominen attacks, be it on Kier Starmer or Bishop, are weak broth, and suggest you have no challenge to the points he makes. Indeed rebuttals should be specific and not based on who posts. I would say that given there are a million unbuilt out planning consents in the UK i dont think the shortage of housing is actually much to do with the alleged reluctance of Planning authorities to grant consent. could it possibly be that developers wont build houses if the results is in fact that prices fall[, so claiming Labours planning reforms will do anything other than boost developer profits is probably wishful thinking.

The media hasn't turned on Labour, Labour has just turned its back on the 'change' agenda we were all promised. This is the cancer of banal, lacklustre figures like Starmer whose only trade they peddle is anaemic status quo management bereft of any ideological commitment whatsoever. rich pensioners being asked to pay a bit more. I wish she'd actually say this line, but as we all know, "rich" to most punter means "people who have more than me". It is grimly amusing to see the usual members of the political and media classes pivot. Ten weeks ago they were decrying some of Sunak's national service ideas as enslaving the young to the elderly - now they're cheerleaders for indenturing them to the elderly instead.

Solvent, Comfortable, Better Off, Well-to-do, Wealthy, Rich, Filthy Rich, Multi-Millionaire, Billionaire ....... Musk! Being good at and with money is slightly worse in Britain than being very clever : But both are much despised probably out of direct envy.
