Looks like a rebellion is brewing for PS in Occitania.
The question is wether the previous rebellious PS would get a nomination this time and if local PS can brew rebellion in a few other places... At some point, they should probably give it up already. They should vye for all incumbents (including people who ARE NOT in the PS grouping) to be supported and suggest a few constituencies to get in their region. PS got 100 more (and LFI 100 less) so there should be probably 5-15 in the region. That's plenty.
Delga was quite clearly in favor of the union.
I know, I said that her deputy was/is against the union, while she’s just against Melenchon.

More incoming news.
Macron is now at just 24 per cent approval.
The leader of the youth wing of LR is also about to be thrown out.
And Ciotti will tonight appear on the widely-followed TPMP programme, which is the sort of telly that has you makes you wonder if can reach up to the gutter. It is presented by Cyril Hanouna, an associate of Vincent Bolloré, which is relevant as Zemmour is as well.

I’ve been thinking about it for the last couple of hours, and I came to the conclusion that R! not being in alliance with RN is probably going to cost them a seat at most. Most of R!’s strong areas are located in places where both parties have no shot of winning or where RN is going to win anyway…

There's a piece in Le Monde saying Ciotti's move is calculated by Bolloré so no surprise he's getting all this free publicity from CNews and C8 (Hanouna)

And it's done. The left have agreed. PS, EELV, LFI, PCF and apparently NPA.
We'll get details later. But apparently Glucksmann is out of it. Good riddance.

There's already one though among the LFI group: a POI-D MP from a lambertist group (Mélenchon used to be Lambertist...but do you stop, though ?) I must say, though, that I have a bit more respect for LO's trotskysm which does not forget that religion is the people's opium

A few late news: former government minister and presidential candidate for the Greens Dominique Voynet is announced as candidate in her Doubs homeland (against a former Green turned Renaissance), as well as Laurent Wauquiez, president of Auvergne-Rhône Alpes, for LR, in Haute-Loire.
I find that this election has put several local or national figures to the pressure of their supporters: now is the time to act against a RN dominated national assembly, and if they don't use their personal (local or national) popularity to it, I don't think they will be well remembered. PS Mayor of Blois Marc Gricourt for example, or (former?)LR mayor of Steenvoorde (they have both been VP of their regions and quite important local politicians).

Left candidates selected:- What's Coco? Google isn't helping. Usually in French a derogatory term for Communist.
But maybe something else in this case, not sure!

Left candidates selected:- What's Coco? Google isn't helping. Communist. You'll see on the map that the 50 seats allocated to them are marked "PCF".

The new political bureau of LR has been convened and has also decided to expel Ciotti.
The statue of the Republic in Paris has been vandalised by the same people demanding adherence to the values of the Republic. Although LFI are trying to claim that it was actually far-right thugs (presumably doing some sort of false flag, as they were writing ACAB and death to the fash and the like).
The RN seem to think that there will be 70 joint RN-LR candidates, God knows how.
Discovery of the day- there are two separate and competing NPAs.
