Le Maire is indicating that Macron didn't warn him it was coming.

Ah! Just like the USA was in Viet Niamh? Who’s she? Is she related to Tokyo Rose? Saigon Sally? No! That is venerable and distinguished Auto-Correct! I must have put a typo in my original Vietnam?

Incidentally, I was trying to remember the correct name of the stereotypical character abovementioned (regardless of whether it was a specific individual or just a generic label); I found the name “Tokyo Rose” on Wikipedia, but I wasn’t sure if “Saigon Sally” was an actual thing? Or was it Hanoi something? Or Shanghai something? Or am I just scrambling my brain?

I was just rattling my brain out of curiosity. Maybe I might be inspired to write a poem about it. I could include lots of other people, like Rosie the Riveter, Brenda from Bristol, Lord Haw Haw, Worcester Woman, Lili Marlene, Gracie Fields, Hannie Schaft, etc…

All left wing parties have announced a New Front Populaire tonight with single candidate in every constituency.
Later in the week if it's not available already I'll try and find an analysis based on the constituencies

I think there was a Saigon Sally, but there was definitely a Hanoi Hannah. I only know Hanoi Jane. Trịnh Thị Ngọ, aka Hanoi Hannah. I came across her when I was researching DRV propaganda at university.

Easy for them to all get merged together when the initial propotype gets copied multiple times.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when the markets reopen. There was a big sell-off yesterday, including French bonds. Manu might accidentally cause a Truss moment.
