I actually had to kill an adder with a mallet and secateurs last year The only time I’ve seen a snake in the wild was in Germany Once saw a grass snake in the small orchard next to where I grew up. It didn't seem too keen on the Flymo I was pushing at the time and shot out of nowhere. Don't know who was more surprised. I think Dorset is the place to go if you desperately want to see snakes (and lizards) in the wild in this country.

I made it down to Leominster today. Hard to find anyone definitely voting Tory, and a respectable amount of poster visibility - although apparently not a patch on Ledbury.

Interesting, I was under the impression that Leominster was the biggest Green voting block. I have seen Green posters there myself, the only time I have ever been through the town, some years ago when my sister lived in Hereford.

Ledbury did see Green gains in LE2023, whereas the opposite happened in some of Leominster.

They have a strong presence in both although it is probably safe to say Leominster is their biggest voting block. It is however hard to read too much into local election results as so many wards are a contest between Conservative and not-Conservative with the exact description of the leading (or sometimes only) not-Conservative candidate of little importance.

Talking to a previously Lib Dem voting friend in the constituency who works in the NHS who really wants to damage the Greens on the Trans issue but is finding it hard to stomach voting Tory because of the NHS although she knows it's the only effective way of punishing the Greens here.
My instinct is that this is a niche issue with the Greens unlike the SNP, but I was surprised when the SNP got mugged by this issue so this may have potential.

I drove around Hereford and Ledbury today and saw 3 Labour Poster boards, near the City, but Green posters and boards everywhere. I didn't see a Tory board until Malvern, over the border. This doesn't mean anything of course. But no Tory boards anywhere in N Herefordshire.
Those Reform leaflets are cheap and nasty. Exactly the same as in Sandwell, with no mention of the candidate.

Yes, poo might actually be what leads this to become a Green gain. I doubt if a Brown Party would gain much traction?

I refuse to believe that a constituency like this could possibly elect a Green MP, it would be the most extraordinary act of electoral self harm that is imaginable.
