So you are ambivalent about (in your own words) 'fake snake oil'? Would you have an opinion one way or the other if the snake oil was real? I have no opinion about whether snakes exist or not, or whether they eat oil or not, or whether the oil which they may or may not eat may or may not exist. It was your comment about 'fake snake oil' in the first place. Is that snake oil that is fake or real oil for fake snakes? I think we should be told.

You both seem to misunderstand what snake oil is, as you both seem to envisage feeding it to snakes, rather than consuming it yourselves. Snake oil is made using parts of snake, and may be beneficial for some conditions- bags of omega even compared to oily fish. On the other hand fake snake oil probably omits the snake parts and therefore most of the benefit. Allow me to sell you some of the genuine stuff...

I expect it is hippopotamus oil falsely labelled as 100% Adder Oil. Possibly with a reference in the small print to the mathematical abilities of hippopotami.

We Think poll for the Greens, reported in the Guardian: Green 23, Con 15, Lab 11, Reform 10, Lib Dem 4, won't vote 2, don't know 34 (obvious caveats are obvious) Sample size?

Here's a version of the poll figures with won't vote and don't know removed, and presumably with some extra weighting as they don't quite agree with the previous version:

Obviously it's just a poll, and I expect it to eventually go Tory, but I am beginning to ask whether this election is the moment the oligarchical 2 ½ party duopoly finally cracks. If we see a parliament with 500+ Labour MPs on 37%ish of the vote, and roughly equally sized Tories and Lib Dems and a smattering of Reform, Green and SNP it becomes quite hard to argue against some form of electoral reform.

The separate poll for North Herefordshire came up with-
Green 21% Con 16% Lab 8% Ref 7% LD 2% NV 1% DK 44%

Indeed, somehow they seem to have got swapped. Not sure whether that was the Guardian's fault or mine... Will edit.

Even as things stand, Labour are still highly unlikely to get 500 MPs - and less so again with 37% of the vote (which only one proper pollster is currently claiming anyway)
