Marcus Rashford probably stays in Alderley Edge nowadays - perhaps he galvanized the community!

I believe Rooney is based in Knutsford though unlikely to be one of the Tory voters.
Prestbury isn’t of course in Tatton but if it was you’d be able to add at least 1-2,000 to the Tory majority here despite the circumstances.
When I told my mum who’s no fan of McVey that she clung on, she replied with it must have been the ‘footballers wives types’ who must have saved her.
It does make you wonder if they vote differently to their husbands (as they have every right to of course)… the Beckhams come to mind… and McVey certainly seems to act like she is a footballers wife at times - perhaps a good fit for some areas here…

I was under the impression that the Rooneys live in Prestbury.

I would think the Rooney's are Labour people? they are apparently known for being strong supporters of the NHS. Their other political views are not generally known, and I don't think either of them has endorsed a political party

Isn't Miami strongly GOP these days? Not that they have a vote there AFAIK.

it has swung strongly to the GOP in the last 2 presidential elections but it is still more Democratic than many other parts of Florida.

The Beckhams were vocally pro Remain. That's the only thing I know about their politics.

What I would have expected is Labour winning Wilmslow, Knutsford being close, and the rest of the seat still fairly heavily Tory. Based on the results, I could easily see Labour winning Handforth and parts of Wilmslow quite easily, Knutsford being close as you say and everywhere else pretty strongly Tory still. I don't know if that balance gets to the tight result overall though.Labour would have probably also done well in the villages of Barnton and Lostock Gralam; this will have kept their respective council wards close enough that it might have been enough to get around winning Wilmslow but not Knutsford even if they were outvoted within said wards overall.

Lostock Gralam is a good point. A weird match for this seat, it definitely clings to Northwich. Which is...ahem...a bit different to Knutsford.

What's weirdest of all is that both villages have been in this seat since its inception.
