Good stuff. I like what I'm hearing. We need one here. We might have to drop the Franco bit to avoid confusing the plebs. Clearly the Spanish people don't agree with your assessment of their needs as Vox are getting a real drumming n this election. Surely it cannot be the case that the British media have bigged up a "far-right threat in European election" for no cause? As Ryan Davies would have said "Scarcely believe".

Vox going backwards was never in doubt. The problem was that the PP was expected to do a lot better, and take Vox into government.

Looks like a disaster of a night for Catalan separatists. I wish we could be shot of our own SNP in the same way, here’s hoping. Important to note that this isn't necessarily due to a collapse in support for separatism, rather that many separatists are boycotting national elections. As long as they are out of the national Parliament where they are by definition wreckers, with the interest of making the country worse, then that’s fine by me.

PP have been ahead in seats for a while, but they've only just overtaken PSOE in the popular vote.

By votes PP & PSOE are neck to neck (just like Vox & Sumar), yet in seats not at all! Seems to be a record-high disProportinality. PSOE likely to be eager changing it.

Unfortunately, they're still very much in control of reins of power in Catalonia itself. Furthermore, with <10% of the vote to come in, the 7 votes from Junts are going to be crucial for whichever bloc comes into power. They're right wing, but would rather drink bleach than support any government that contains Vox. So still plenty of opportunity for shenanigans.

Junts aren't going to be helpful to anyone, so new elections look like an inevitability.

In November 2019 the blocs were 43.2%:42.7%, now (90% counted) it is 44.2%:45.0%. So the Left +1.0%, the Right +2.3%.
By the way: In MadridCity there is so far (3/4 counted) not much %-change, in other words: The Right is falling back there - Global Trends...

Don't forget the bit where they then don't cover that country until the next election, at which point they pretend they've been closely covering it for four years.

So PP fails to get an overall majority (even with Vox). I guess, after the locals, it is a somewhat victory for Sanchez.

Ruffian (ERC) is speaking now. Saying that the left block won and the country needs to avoid a second election. He also called on Junts to support Sanchez.

TVE has PSOE+Sumar+ERC+PNV+ Bildu+BNG+Existe just short of a majority. Teruel Existe are an oft forgotten bunch: super regional and originally set up to campaign for Teruel to get a motorway and a better rail link (the railway was single track and kept detailing). They weren't even a fully fledged party until recently but rather an 'electoral grouping.' The only time they've really been prominent recently is when they supported Sanchez to be president, and the leader got death threats and police protection.

Nogueras (Junts) has just been on. She's not saying no to Sanchez, but she was admiring his knee-caps and lamenting that something could happen to them in the future unless he's very careful.
