The by-election in Southway Ward, Plymouth UA will be on Thursday 27th June. I have been selected as the Labour candidate. Good luck - hope you win. I used to live in Kirklees. Margaret Bates I liked despite the political divide. She was an old style moderate Tory and one of the few who showed any support from that side of the council to the gay helpline I set up back in the late eighties. |

St Helens MBC Billinge and Seneley Green ward appears to be caused by resignation of Labour councillor Alison Bacon .
and Uttlesford DC Felsted ward disqualification for non attendance of Conservative councillor David Crome .

Also, Fife SUA,Glenrothes North,Leslie&Markinch, following the death of Cllr Bill Kay(Lab). Election on 20th June.

I think it is silly to call for it to paid for by UKIP.
1) it won't be.
2) If it had to be that would discourage parties from doing the honourable thing in such cases.
So it is silly rhetoric. I am glad the cllr resigned.

A generous supply of Party candidates for a Town Council by-election. Do we know the party, if any, of the previous councillor? I see the UKIP candidate, Amy Charles, contested Rickmansworth division at the recent Herts CC elections. She is gradually working her way up the constituency, all the time getting closer to her home at Tring! |
