Indeed. As in 'spoiled ballots', for instance. You mean "spoiled votes", or cases in which the voter has "spoiled his/her ballot paper". Not "spoiled his/her ballot". "Ballot (noun): a piece of paper on which you write your vote" - Cambridge Dictionary.

Is the fact we're arguing about the definition of ballots
(A) evidence of how pedantic we all are (B) a sign of how boring this by-election is (C) both of the above.

Just had Labour come to the door to check I'd voted. Assured them I had.
Not canvassing does have its downsides.

Have I tuned in to an episode of Play Your Cards Right? Anyway, here's a Labour leaflet from the campaign to keep you engaged in the snoozefest!
So you go from your home to the polling station and vote, then it's all down from there?

So you go from your home to the polling station and vote, then it's all down from there? Only if you vote Labour, apparently.

My sister and her other half have voted - as have her daughter (my niece) and her husband. Apparently my nephew has gone to vote with his fiancée to "shut his Mum up." If the turnout is low, they might register as a percentage.

I suspect, at this point, knocking on random doors would have a positive effect on the Labour, especially if you live in Skems or Ormskirk. They're more likely than now to get Labour voters.

Are you predicting a Conservative gain? Presumably you mean Con 100.0%, otherwise you would have mentioned the other parties

"Ballot (noun): a piece of paper on which you write your vote" - Cambridge Dictionary. If that’s what the Cambridge Dictionary says, then it’s clear that the Cambridge Dictionary was written by a rabble of long-haired weirdo saboteurs who wrote perverse definitions specifically for the purpose of trying, but failing, to make me look silly by providing source material for miserable malcontents who have nothing better to do than contradicting my profound down-to-Earth common sense statements.

Electorate approx 72,191 BPs verified 22,639 Turnout 31.36% That means that half of us (8 out of 16) are predicting a Labour majority of more than 10,000 and the other half fewer than 10,000.

From twitter: "Tory candidate Mike Prendergast tells the ECHO: "West Lancashire has always been a very safe Labour seat. They’ve had it since 1992"
That is quite an outstandingly blatant contradiction
