I like Highley, but it is a strange place. Good luck to anyone trying to predict an incumbent-free election there!

Me too, I knew my lot were doing something, but I saw a lot of Labour activity and thought they'd have a chance. But it is a fairly isolated and very parochial place.

Yes, when I saw the Labour candidate was from outside the ward and the LibDem was local it wasn't hard to draw the appropriate conclusion.

Congratulations to yellowperil for winning a complex week and to andrewp for taking the monthly lead. Quite a bunch to come next week, though!

But it is a fairly isolated and very parochial place. More isolated than people might think at first as well: as you o/c know, the main road from Bridgnorth to Kiddy runs on the other side of the river (there is no bridge) and you have physical barriers (the Severn, the Brown Clee and Wyre Forest) on three sides.

Are we doing Barraigh agus Bhatarsaig? I thought in the past we had excluded contests with solely independent candidates? Yes, I thought we had too. The Eilean Siar contest in Barra has been excluded from the competition due to it being an Independent-only contest. Top vote for the 2 multi-seat deferred elections and seat winners specified if you have anything other than a clean sweep of the top vote winner. Predictions on this thread at 9.00am on the day of the election. However there's nothing to stop people making predictions for fun if they feel so inclined...
