25 incumbents, 70 constituencies. Do the mathd I guess it depends if they are winnable constituencies or not. If they've been given lots of no hope ones then the deal isn't anywhere near as good for PS as it may seem... I don't know enough about French political geography to tell looking at the above map though. FI do seem to have ended up with a lot worst ones for the left though e.g. Hauts-de-Seine's 6th (Neuilly-sur-Seine) though perhaps as the largest party in the alliance they just took a lot of the leftover, complete no-hope ones that nobody else wanted?
I gave a prediction of what is winnable by the different left-wing groups given the distribution of seats, it's on the previous page.

Manu has now renamed LREM to Renaissance. It is believed that MoDem (cult of Bayrou) will get 101 candidates as part of their deal, and Horizons (Philippe) 58.

When you know that in France Renaissance ended with guillotines for the head of state...

It appears that neither the NPA nor their splitter friends from Révolution permanente will be joining Mélenchon's merry men. The NPA are refusing to work with the PS but have called for a vote for the Left coalition in seats where they aren't standing themselves. RP appear to be little more than a personality cult centred on a Trot called Anasse Kazib (there's a slightly gushing yet wooden comment by the actress Adèle Haenel praising him for educating her-it makes him seem like Lyndon LaRouche!)

New PM that will lead the incumbent majority to the legislative elections: Élisabeth Borne, current minister for labour.
She used to work for the socialist as a technocrat. Not a politico. She'll be candidate in Calvados in june (I think it's for the first time but I'm not sure. I didn't check)

Will she be required to resign and be replaced after the legislative elections? Or have I got confused?

She will resign after the legislative elections, but she will only get replaced if the president wishes to. He can re-appoint her.
The president wil probably not appoint her if he doesn't have a clear majority of votes to confirm her. If he does, he might still want another PM but that would be quite weird.

I see they've exhumed Cresson for her opinion.

Are there any actual policy differences between Horizons and Agir, or is it more about personalities and when they started supporting Macron? Horizons has a bit of a feel of one of those fake parties Putin set up to give Russian elections a sense of legitimacy and attract votes from different ideological perspectives.

The better question would be "are there any actual policy idea among Horizons and Agir ?

Isn't Horizons the party for people thinking Philippe ought to be President in 2027?

Isn't Horizons the party for people thinking Philippe ought to be President in 2027? Presumably he couldn't think of a useful but meaningless phrase to name it LREP.

I've just noticed that Borne is a member of yet another one of Manu's Potemkin partie, Territories of Progress. Macron is channeling his inner Putin with all these daft pseudo-parties.

From Le Figaro. An IFOP poll shows a LREM versus Zemmour run-off in the 4th Var.

Blimey. One of the new ministers, Damien Abad, has been accused of rape.

My wife got her bundle of leaflets for the north europe 3rd circonscription this week.
Until I saw the leaflets I'd completely missed the fact that Marion Marechal is supporting Zemmour rather than her dear aunt.
There's also an independent standing for a new presidential majority with Macron, but against the official Macronist incumbent...

Is there an official bundle sent to expat voters by the Interior Ministry, with all the leaflets? Like a mayoral election booklet?
